Introduction

Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest. We are Steve and Beki from the steel city of Sheffield, UK. We have quite a wide range of knowledge of dogs in general (i.e. their habits, feeding and training) gained through a lifetime living with dogs, especially over the last twelve years keeping two Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Sadly we lost our male in January 2006 of old age at nearly twelve years old and we lost our female SBT in September 2007 at age ten years - RIP forever. And so we decided to get two more bull breeds. We are not dog breeders and would like to make that perfectly clear from the start. We are in the breed as a hobby or fancy at best.

Our American Bulldog knowledge comes from several places; living with two of them, visiting various kennels and talking to people that show, work and live with this wonderful breed, and above all people that have years of experience with them. We have also watched quite a few American Bulldog DVDs and films from most of the major kennels in the USA - gaining valuable tips, advice and more knowledge of general care, well being, showing, etc. The final part of our knowledge has come from American Bulldog websites and from several American Bulldog books such as The Working American Bulldog by Dave Putnam, American Bulldog by Abe Fishman and American Bulldog Stories and Legends by Lem Miller.

On this site you will not find any history pages I'm afraid! This is due to the fact there are several histories of where the American Bulldog really came from and where the original Bulldog of olden times appeared from also. We leave this part to you to research from the above places and really make your own minds up. Also we are not authors and find the subject quite a minefield of what's right or wrong.
